The Sun and Moon games gave us a decent insight on child neglect/abuse and the anime used zero percent of that. Lillie's character was completely overhauled from the games.
#ELECTROWEB POKEMON SUN SERIES#
I was interested in the series until it became obvious that nothing really interesting was going to happen. Conveniently enough, our class was the only one that mattered. What did he even do at the school? Cheat on an assignment or something? We don't even know if this school has other classrooms or teachers. Pokemon isn't built for a slice of life format. You can claim that it did something new, but that doesn't mean anything when the new formula is poorly executed. It was completely directionless and aimless. Since when did Ash need school or stay in set locations? Ash doesn't sleep in a house, he camps out at night! He was constantly traveling around the regions in order to complete a goal. Immediately, I was turned off by the school setting. In my opinion, Sun and Moon was the worst series and set the anime on a downward spiral. It was so great to see that Stoutland wanted Litten to learn Fire Fang in order to defend itself when he was gone.Īnd now on to what I dislike. Showing off the friends and family that passed on was really nice, and I almost shed a tear when Litten realized that Stoutland was gone. In fact, Bewear vs Pheromosa was the probably best fight in SM, despite being a joke. And Bewear was my favorite character from SM and even trumped the human characters for me. The TRio got some decent characterization and I loved their relationship with their Pokemon, especially Jessie and Mimikyu. Although Ash's face was an abomination, I didn't hate the art style that much and the animation was clean at certain points. Misty and Brock returning was nice, and Ash vs Misty was one of the few good battles in this series. Seeing Rowlet act like a big brother to Meltan was amazing. Ash's team had unique personalities and chemistry that I enjoyed. I'll just start off with what I did like.
